A day in the life of a Sprinkler Service Technician can look like this:
- Monday – Friday, day shift position
- Performing routine inspection, service, and maintenance of fire sprinkler/standpipe systems and related equipment
- Conducting flow tests, fire pump tests, hydrostatic tests, main drain tests, trip test dry valves, and test hydrants
- Getting after-hour emergency service calls during assigned on-call week
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds
- 2-3 years of related experience
- Regular and Timely Attendance
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) without a break
- Position requires bending, twisting, stooping, and climbing
- Must pass initial and random substance abuse tests
